Daylesford Accommodation

Daylesford is a small spa town located 113 km North West of Melbourne in the foothills of the Greath Dividing Range.

Daylesford’s major claim to fame are the many natural mineral springs that are located in and around the township.

It will take approximately 1 hour and 31 minutes to travel the 113 km by car from Melbourne. It is 46km North East from Ballarat and 76km South West from Bendigo and makes a nice detour if travelling between those points. It’s also 224km from Warrnambool, something to note if considering an alternate route back from the Great Ocean Road.

Three popular places to visit are:

  • The Wombat Hill Botanical Gardens – which provides a look out with a spectacular view of the surrounding area,

  • Hepburn Mineral Springs Reserve, and

  • Lake Daylesford – where you can hire a paddle boat, take in a scenic walk and sample the mineral springs water (at Wombat Flat Mineral Spring or Central Springs Reserve).
